cdr500 cd unit

Hi all. Bought a zafira gsi on Saturday which done 54,000 miles will full vauxhall history. Got to say great family car. The only problem really is that can anyone tell me y my cd in my zafira not working. My radio works and the seperate display is all ok but when i put the cd in it says error cd. Tried cleaning but that says error cd as well. Do i need a new one or is it a simple fix.

usually means a problem with the disc, have tried a different cd?

yeh ive tried loads of cds all original but still the same error message appears.

ok, must be fault with cd player itself then, don't know of any simple fixes tbh, only thing i can think of is replace the unit. I would imagine there should be some orginal cd players knocking around specalist breakers or ebay etc etc
