Zafira 12v Accessory Socket
Found this on a site maybe of use to some of you
For any Zafira owners who would like to fit the rear 12v accessory socket into the boot area if it is not already fitted, you will require the following parts from Vauxhall dealer :-
Part No:- 12450044 Power Outlet Socket
Part No:- 3447012 Relay (Green)
Part No:- 24412563 Retaining Ring and Cover (to cover socket when not in use)
Although the wiring for the socket is already in place in the right hand compartment in the boot, there will not be any power until the relay is fitted.
To fit the relay, you have to remove the fuseboard from the aperture in the dashboard, two screws at top above visible relays, remove these and you can pull the fuseboard down. Look at the thick wiring loom near the bulkhead and you'll see a green relay socket, just plug in the new relay and the new socket will then be working. I just fitted this today, the whole job took just 10 mins.
Hope this helps someone

socket
hi,
i have fitted one behind the front seats in the center consul, the one in the boot is original and standard,
got mine off ebay and mine have a flip cap on them at less than half the price you have paid and did not need a relay.

Hi, I know this is an old post but I'm stuck, I fitted the parts as listed, including the relay, but I still have no power to the rear socket, I have checked all the fuses as far as I can tell, any ideas?

hi lackybandito888,
have you put a tester on the line to check power,
has the fuse blown in the plug you are plugging in?,
have you checked ALL the fuses in the rear and under the hood,
try giving them a wiggle the blades could be getting a little gowled up.
rick.
