Chrome boot bit

We wanna get this part chrome. been told cant get it chromed but i can get hold of chrome spray, any1 tried spraying chrome

No, not even seen chrome spray tbh, can't imagine that it will look as good as proper chrome though. I'd be interested to find out how it looks chrome sprayed.

might just try spray first, if it dont work try an engineering company to make one for me

one of my mate had a go with the chrome paint on the boot strip of a focus. looked a bit blotchy by he did rush it some bit's looked ok and some looked like poo

well i used to spray as a ob so hopefully can do a good job at it

trust me mate don't try to spray it there is only one way to apply chrome and that is to dip it whish means you would have to get the trim made up in metal which has to then be copper plated so the chrome will adhear to it which is red hot and in liquid form when applied. spray will just never look the same. chrome can be sprayed but never has a flat mirror finish like dipping.

never used the stuff personally but carnt see it being a good finish regardless of painting experiance chrome should be applied as mentioned dipped
